Buses, trains ride transit debate

Much has been made about the potential costs and viability of the Kenosha-Racine-Milwaukee commuter rail proposal, the 33-mile train link that has been a dream of public transit supporters for a decade or more.

Largely lost in the debate is the fate of bus transit in the region.

Observers say they’re separate issues that have become confused with one another, in the midst of debate in Madison and at home.
