Karen Sands
Karen Sands is an experienced, AICP-certified planner who has worked extensively in government and the private sector. Karen’s work includes regional planning for transportation and water resource networks. She has over 30 years of professional planning experience and recently joined GRAEF – a civil engineering firm based in Milwaukee – as urban planning and design practice team lead. Besides 1000 Friends of Wisconsin, she also serves on boards of the Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust, Inc., Wisconsin’s Green Fire, and the Clark Square Neighborhood Initiative.
