Town of Waukesha residents fight decision on wells

Town of Waukesha — A group is calling on Town Chairman Robert Tallinger and Supervisor Stephen Smart to resign if they don’t reverse a decision that paves the way for the City of Waukesha to establish a series of shallow wells near the Vernon marsh without more protections for private wells.

Members of Concerned Citizens of the Town of Waukesha think the municipal wells could have an adverse effect on their private wells, harm the Vernon marsh and cause problems for the Fox River.
