A meeting about passenger rail between Milwaukee and the Twin Cities will be held in Madison on Tuesday, December 7th.
The event, organized by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 4402 East Washington Avenue.
Republican Gov.-elect Scott Walker has repeatedly said the plannedĀ Milwaukee-to-Madison rail line is dead. And he’s repeatedly asked the Obama Administration to allow him to use the money to repair Wisconsin’s roads and bridges.
But numerous other states, including Illinois and California, have asked that the $810 million in federal stimulus money originally awarded to Wisconsin be given to them instead. Read more….
