Peter Skopec
Peter Skopec is director of advocacy at Secure Democracy USA. In this role, he helps lead SDUSA’s state-level work to build confidence in our elections and improve voter access across the United States.
Prior to joining SDUSA, Peter was director of the Wisconsin Public Interest Research Group (WISPIRG), a nonpartisan grassroots organization that advocates for public health, a fair economy, and a strong democracy. During that time, Peter often partnered with 1000 Friends’ staff on efforts to strengthen communities and equitably prevent and mitigate the impacts of climate change in our state. He quickly came to value the organization’s impactful approach that combines advocacy, research, education and litigation.
