Tehila Cohen, Housing Field Organizer

Tehila Cohen (she/her) is the Housing Field Organizer at 1000 Friends of Wisconsin. She plans and manages housing programs and connects advocates across the state to increase housing affordability and options.

Tehila is a community-led urban sustainability leader with 20 years of experience advancing cross-sector collaboration and bridging the gap between government and grassroots initiatives. She is passionate about mission-driven social change and community advocacy. In her previous roles, Tehila worked as an urban sustainability organizer for various community groups in Jerusalem and as the head of the Social Sustainability Department at the Jerusalem Municipality.

Tehila holds a bachelor’s degree in education management and leadership from Bar-Ilan University and a master’s degree in urban studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Outside of work, Tehila enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring both nature and city scenes. She loves reading and uncovering the hidden stories and local history of the places she lives and visits.
