Let’s Welcome Our New Board Members!

We’re excited to welcome our newest Board members to the team! Jenasea Hameister, Justyn Huckleberry, and David Salmon (from left to right) were elected at the Q3 Board meeting in Oct. and they’re ready to support the mission & vision of 1000 Friends.

Jenasea comes to us from the City of Madison as an Environmental Scientist from Stantec. She earned a Master of Science in Environmental Conservation from the University of Wisconsin, specializing in climate change adaptation and environmental justice, and completed a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Justyn also lives in Madison and is a Projects & Research Associate at the New Urban Mobility Alliance (NUMO) housed at the World Resources Institute Ross Center for Sustainable Cities. Justyn has a Ph.D. in Environment & Resources from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a M.L.A. in Environmental Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. from the University of Texas at Austin. David also comes to us from Madison but works for the City of Sun Prairie as their Transportation Coordinator. David received his Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from UW-Madison, working on a project that integrated public health into long-range planning for the City of Janesville’s Comprehensive Plan.
