On Monday, December 12, 1000 Friends and members of the Coalition for More Responsible Transportation (CMRT) held a press conference about the I-94 expansion project. WisDOT has selected the more expensive, 8-lane expansion as their preferred project and was holding public hearings this week. This decision is a mistake for many environmental, fiscal, and social reasons, but above all it will continue a status quo which leaves vulnerable populations behind. Our coalition held a press conference to highlight these issues and to encourage supporters to testify at the public hearings in favor of the Fix at Six solution.
