Attendees at the Urban Spaceship conference learned about all the positive benefits a boulevard could bring to the area, including: better neighborhood connections, new development, and strong active transportation connections. Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson publicly speaks about his openness to the Rethink 794 idea

The movement took a big step forward when Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson spoke publicly about his openness to the idea. At the Greater Milwaukee Committee, he said: “How do you look at Park East being gone and what’s there presently ― the Deer District, Fiserv Forum, a hotel going up right now, other development that’s going to happen down the line ― and not think, what if?
